Dart Roadmap

How to learn DART?

It is an open-source, general purpose language developed by Google. It was released in 2011 but came into the limelight after 2014 when Dart 2.0 was released. It is used for various developments like web application development, android & ios applications, and IoT development. Applications are developed using the Flutter framework.

Currently, flutter and dart together are giving tough competition to JavaScript and its frameworks.

It has extensive libraries, browser support, and a vast community which makes dart more popular among developers.

Now, let’s start walking down the path to learn dart.

Step1:

Begin with learning the basic syntax, data types and variables. Set Dart environment on your computer.

Step2:

Once done with the basics start learning operators, flow control statements, loops, and functions.

Step3:

Grasp concepts like numbers, string, boolean, lists, and maps. These are some important concepts in dart.

Step4:

Learn symbols and runes.

Step5:

It’s time to move on to some advanced concepts. Learn enumeration, interfaces, classes, object, collection, generics, and packages.

Step6:

Learn exceptions, debugging, typedef, and libraries.

Step7:

A few more advanced concepts and we will be done with it. Learn async, concurrency, unit testing, and HTML DOM.

Step8:

Hurray! We are done with dart. Dart is most widely used in flutter as base language. Flutter is a framework of dart which is used to develop web applications, android and ios applications. If you want to get into development then you should try flutter once.
